Nick Faldo And Seve Ballesteros Name Players

Nick Faldo & Seve Ballesteros have named the players they will use as wildcards for the Seve trophy in Ireland.

Nick Faldo has chosen Simon Dyson & Marc Warren from England and Scotland respectively. Seve Ballesteros has chosen Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano & Thomas Bjorn from Spain and Denmark respectively.

Britain & Ireland are leading the competition 3-1, so it will make for some exciting viewing at the Heritage Golf & Spa resort in the gorgeous town of Killenard.

Both captains are confident about their teams abilities, so it will all boil down to nerves and confidence on the day.

Tiger Woods Pulls Out Of Golf Championship

Tiger Woods has pulled out of the PGA grand slam of golf in October.

He has decided to spend more time with his wife and new born child. His daughter, Sam Alexis is just a couple of weeks old and Tiger will take a 10 weeks break to spend as much time with them as he can before he starts playing competitively again.

This is the longest break from golf in his career but he feels it is very important to spend the valuable time with his family.

I guess you can’t blame him really, its not like he needs the money is it!

Extra Teams Now In Golf World Cup

The number of teams competiting in the Golf World Cup has changed from 24 and is now 28 teams.

The event which will be held at Mission Hills Golf Club in China from Nov. 22-25 has also increased it’s prize money to a whopping US$5 Million!

The winning team will share over US$1.6 Million between them, so competition will certainly be very serious.
