The Payne Stewart Award is an award given in honor of World Golf Hall of Famer Payne Stewart.
It is given to a player who shows respect for the traditions of the game, commitment to uphold
the game’s heritage of charitable support and professional and meticulous presentation of
himself and the sport through his dress and conduct.This time the winner of Payne Stewart
Award is Davis Love.The award was given on tuesday.

Davis love has proven himself as one of the best golfer as he started as professional golfer
in 1986 He quickly established himself on the PGA Tour, winning his first tour event in 1987.
He was later to be in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings for over 450 weeks and
reached a high of third.By winning the PGA tour 19 times love has prven himself to be the
best player on the PGA Tour

“I have a Players Championship trophy and a Wannamaker Trophy [for the PGA Championship], and
this will be the third that I keep in my house, for sure,” Love said. “Sea Island [Golf Club]
has a lot of my trophies in a nice trophy room. I’ve held a couple of them back, and this will
be one that I hold back for sure.”

He established the Davis Love Foundation in 2005 to support national and community programs
which focus on children and families in need.4
