Your physical structure affects the way you play this game. If your range of motion is like the Tin Man’s, your golf swing will not look very athletic and could actually rust. You need to address problem areas with physical conditioning. It’s that simple, so get off your wallet and do something, now! Here are five areas you can address to help your golf game:

1) Balance
2) Control
3) Flexibility
4) Posture
5) Strength

If you’re deficient in one of these areas, you may develop some bad habits in your golf swing to compensate. Not only will your golf game suffer, but also your body may break down from bad swing mechanics. Fix it now or fix it later; it’s your choice. Several things can cause structural imbalances. Typical factors include inherited body characteristics and the natural aging process. Imbalance can occur
over a long period of time from consistent thumping of the golf ball.

When it comes to accessories, there’s a whole golfing subculture out there.

By accessories
- Covers for your irons
- Plastic tubes that you put in your bag to keep your shafts from clanging together
- Tripod tees to use when the ground is hard

- Golf watches that keep your score
- Rubber suction cups that allow you to lift your ball from the hole without bending down

I’ve even seen a plastic clip that fits to the side of your bag so that you can “find” your putter quickly. You know the sort of things. Most accessories appear to be good ideas, but then you often use them only once.
The place to find all this sort of stuff is in the classified advertising sections of golf magazines. But take my advice: Don’t bother. Real golfers — and you want to look and behave like one — don’t go in for that stuff. Accessories are very uncool. The best golf bags are spartan affairs and contain only the bare
essentials:
- About six balls
- A few wooden tees
- A couple of gloves
- A rain suit
- A pitch-mark repair tool
- A few small coins (preferably foreign) for markers
- Two or three pencils
- A little bag (leather is cool) for your wallet, money clip, loose change, car keys, rings, and so on

Deciding on a set of clubs to use can be as simple or as complicated as you want to make it. You can go to any store that doesn’t have a golf pro, pick a set of clubs off the shelf, and then take them to the tee. You can go to garage sales. You can check with the pro at your local municipal course. Any or all of these methods can work. But your chances of choosing a set with the correctloft, lie, size of grip, and all the other stuff involved in club fitting are worse than my chances of winning on American Idol.

The better player might waggle a new club a few times and “know” that it wasn’t for him — hardly the most scientific approach!

If you’re just beginning to play golf, keep in mind that you may discover that this game is not for you. So you should start out with rental clubs at a driving range. Most driving ranges have rental clubs. Go out and hit balls with these clubs. If you still want to play golf after hitting a few balls, then buy your own clubs.

The basic tip for pitching is to keep the handle of the club a little ahead of the ball, like getting into the stance of normal golf shot. Then place the face of the club behind the ball and hold the club in a slanting position with its handle and your grip a bit ahead of the actual position of the ball. The most common flaw I see in pitching is swinging flat-footed.

When you’re learning to pitch, one of the most important things you need to do is be accurate.
The ball should be position right in between your heels when your feet are square.
Golfers should use an open stance with their feet close together.
The golf ball should be positioned in the center of the stance.
Controlling your ball’s distance is also important.
The golfer’s should turn his legs and body to turn slightly through the shot.
Your target may not always be the flag.
When you use a pitch shot, remember to practice with the waist-high and full swing to become more familiar with the different length shots that may come up when you are out on the course.
Have an area for a pitching zone where you’re not in harm’s way.You should be able to pitch with an assurance and without fear.A pitching zone allows you to have more strength to play the game.

This isn’t something that can be learned overnight. The techniques arenot simple and It takes time.Using these techniques will help you get your pitching where it needs to be.

Note:Beer curls are not considered specific.

2) Professional instruction in your chosen sport. 3) Proper mental skills: Enough said.
4) Training equipment: Please, no Speedos.
5) Talent to enjoy the sport

All of these have to be blended into reaching your goal of playing your best.
When this process is learned and practiced, it is called integrated performance
enhancement, or “you da man,” as I call it.
If you’re going to play on the highest level, you have to have some balance
between talent, physical conditioning, mental awareness, instruction, and
good ol’ perseverance. Simply going out and buying new drivers that are
touted to hit the ball 50 yards farther is not going to cut it. Remember: You
have to have proper mental skills; use them in this case. Promise me.

Today’s golfers are getting into great physical shape. Gary Player was the first
guy on the tour who I saw preaching the benefits of being in good shape.
Even as he approached 70 years old, a milestone he reached in November
2005, he could do most things the kids on the regular tour can do, except perhaps
catching some big air on a snowboard.

Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and other top pros are into rigorous physicalexercise
programs that will keep them strong into the later stages of the year,
when a lot of players tire from so much wear and tear on the body. Both Tiger
and Vijay can hit the ball into the next zip code, and that’s not bad for incentive
either.

* Always arrive early at the course. If you arrive early you can warmup yourself before round.Give atleast an hour prior to your tee time.Hurrying may affect your play.
* While Playing Golf Always Keep you head down. The main reason for this mater is to keep your head down too long restricts your forward swing. The head needs to not change its position.
* You should have a smooth tempo in order to get the most of your swing.
* Improve you strength before playing. For this do excercies.
* Before Playing Get a map of the course. If you have played the course before you have an advantage. If not look the map it will help you to pre visualize how you want to play each hole.

First of all, dress within your budget. This game can get expensive enough there’s no need to outdress your playing partners.General rule is to aim to dress better than the starter at the course. (The starter is the person in charge of getting everyone off the first tee.) The starter’s style is usually a reflection of the dress standards at that particular golf course. If you’re unsure about the style at a particular course, give the pro shop a call to find out the dress code.

The bottom line is to dress comfortably and look good. If you dress well, you may appear as if you can actually play this game with a certain amount of distinction.People can be fooled. You never know! Golf shoes are the final aspect of a golfer’s ensemble. Shoes can be a fashion statement — alligator or ostrich. They can be comfortable — tennis shoes or sandals with spikes. They can take on the lore of the Wild West in the form of cowboy boots with spikes or, as my mentor Fairway Louie used to highlight his golfing attire, they can even be military combat boots.

Grip is the first step in learning how to play any “stick game”. As only our hand creates a connection between our body and the stick/ club. So to learn any game perfectly, we must concentrate primarily on our grip.

Using a proper grip helps in making a strong and more effective connection with the ball which helps in covering great distances as well as in controlling the ball. In golf, not only learning proper grip, but also the coordination of hands with body that is important.

One of the very common mistake that golfers make is they tighten or loosen up one of the hands in grip which makes the shot to hook or shank (as called in golfing terminology). The tightening of the leading hand would cause the ball to shank and tightening of trailing hand would cause the ball to get hooked.

Below we have provides you with some basic information about how to improve your game.

Ten Finger Grip
This is the simplest grip to hold the golf club but is not used by most professional golf players. Known as “the baseball grip”, it generates a lot of power in the shot.

Place the little finger of trailing hand close to the index finger of the lead hand and cover the lead hands thumb with the center of the palm of trailing hand. (See image for details)

This is mostly suitable for players who experience joint pain, have weak hands or arthritis as well as for beginners.

Interlock Grip
This is the most commonly used grip by beginners as well as amateur players. This grip makes the club lock in the hand of the player which results in excellent conversion of energy from body to ball.

Take the little finger on the trailing hand and interlock it with the index finger on the lead hand. The thumb of lead hand must fit in the center of the palm of the trailing hand. (See image for details)

But one thing about this grip is that you can easily get carried away due to tightness in grip. The most important thing about this grip is that you have to strike a perfect balance between your body and hands. This grip is mostly used by people with small hands, weak forearms and wrists.

Vardon Overlap Grip
This is the most commonly grip used by great golfers and professional players. The grip creates immense control on the direction as well as requires less effort to hit the ball to great distances.

Take the little finger on the trailing hand and place it between the index finger and the middle finger on the lead hand. The thumb of the lead hand should, as usual, fit in the center of palm of the trailing hand.

This balanced grip surely helps in maintaining the equilibrium but is not suitable for beginners as they can easily lose the grip of leading hand.

Many golfers still have mistakes and need to improve their skills. Some lack the aspect of choosing the right clubs. However, most of them lack the skills of swinging. The most challenging part of the golf is to control the ball against the wind and the slope. A golfer should know how to control the ball with proper swinging. Here are some tips for you to improve your swing to overcome the challenges of the course:

Learn to Pause on the Top

You can observe that many golfers will not hit the ball fast; they pause on the top first before hitting. Do not swinging very fast, you need to continue the regularity of your move. The best thing to do to achieve your goal is to visualize and pause on the top of your backswing remember to do it earlier than shifting path and start the downswing. It is a great technique to see your ball shoot on the hole.

Learn to swing Right Knee

When you are doing Backswing, it is not good to give weight to your right foot and continue bending the knee slightly. In doing this you can avoid loss of power and poor contact. When you take the club back, Visualize that, your right knee is supported and hard like a wall. It will help your upper body to helix the rear of the ball, this will result a forceful hit though it.

Learn to use your club loft for plus

If you want the ball to be airborne, try to hit it down all the way through it. By doing this, the loft of your club can hit the ball with the good contact ensuing in a normal flight path.

Learn to swing simple if it is Breezy

Remember that if you are playing in the wind, always swing with simplicity in to the wind. It will help you to stop over swing the ball into the wind.

Learn to use your Left knee in swinging

Do not let your knee fall down in the direction of the right on the backswing. It will make your shoulder drop and make the hips swing and knock over. Keep in your that you need to visualize the left knee going out on the way to the target on the backswing.

Learn how to position your hand during backswing

Place your right hand in the hitchhiker position. This means that when the club is at the waist height, always look back and see your thumb point to the sky. The way you need to know is position your hand in a handshake position and your palm facing neither down or up. These suggestions will give you a correct swing.

Learn to use your muscle

To attain a forceful swing, you should use the muscles of your trunk and legs. It is general sense of many novices to hit the ball with wrists and arms. The main thought is to use the whole body not only wrist and arms

Learn to Swing Through the Ball

Regular controlling Swings frequently have common. It is the wing during the ball after you hit it. The best thing to have a just right swing is to put the tee eight inches in front of the ball and then hit it. Always remember to hit the tee and the ball. It will help you to practice your swing all the way through the ball.

Learn to harden your swing Foundation

A dependable swing needs a flat tempo and proper balance. The best technique you should do is to practice hitting some balls with your feet together. This will make you keep a better balance rhythm and tempo

Learn how to rotate your hands through the ball

Position yourself into impact position to have hard contact to the ball. Flick your trailing wrist called wrist break because when you put a wristwatch you can identify the correct moves to do. Then, rotate your watch face pointing to southward.
