Jim Thorpe Going to Prison for Tax Case
Pro golfer Jim Thorpe has been sentenced to1 year in prison for failing to pay over $2 million of income taxes. Thorpe will be given until April 1 to turn himself in. He is also sentenced to 2 years of supervised release and required to render 200 hours of community service. He will also have to find a way to pay back his taxes while on supervised release. Thorpe has won 13 times on the Champions Tour and three times on the PGA Tour.
